Comfortable and well equipped rental that was so close to the beach. It was very easy to acquire this rental. Everything was better than I expected. I would recommend this site to friends and family.

My two sons and I stayed here at the cottage for a very pleasant weeks stay. Light and airy, all the comforts of home here! The beds and baths were wonderfully comfortable. And the kitchen is well stocked for anyone wanting to stay in and enjoy a home cooked meal. I was even able to use the WiFi and work a few days, enjoying a change of scenery and a walk on the beach only a few feet away. Highly recommended.

It was conveniently close to the water and amenities. The cottage is a nice simple escape from home that has everything you need and more. The shaded parking was a plus as well as a garage with great ocean toys available for all guests. It also has two large rooms which are perfect for multiple families as well as additional smaller rooms for kids. We enjoyed our stay!

Laying on the beautiful white sandy beach all day, while dragging my feet back and forth in water as blue and clear as the sky, is exactly what I had in mind when renting this charming cottage for the week. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed the Gulfshore Cottage, a quaint, nostalgic property that is well maintained and extremely clean. It’s within walking distance to excellent restaurants and shops and has quick and easy access to the beach. Beautiful, breezy walks at night and crisp morning sunrises greet you each day from the delightful front porch. We enjoyed our evenings sitting outside after a long day while grilling our dinner or simply having drinks. The perfect spot to relax and unwind. If you get a chance to spend a week at the Gulfshore Cottage I highly recommend that you do. You won’t regret it!

A stone’s throw from paradise! We love visiting AMI and adore its quiet charm at this time of year. Gulf Shore Cottage is the perfect place to stay for a relaxing getaway. Although it was just the two of us, the cottage would be perfect for a group of friends or a family as it is extremely spacious and superbly appointed. We appreciated all the usual amenities that you expect with a rental but were also pleasantly surprised by the little touches such as toiletries, loads of fluffy towels, cooler boxes and chairs for the beach. And boy what a beach! The talcum powder sand, the crystal clear water, the shimmering Gulf and spectacular sunsets. All literally within a couple of minutes from the back door. We parked the car and never felt the urge to switch on the engine again until we had to leave with a great deal of reluctance! There is plenty of choice for eating and drinking out. We were particularly impressed with Sign of the Mermaid and Harry’s Bar. Also, you must try the Donut Experiment all within a short walk of the cottage. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer!

Best rental on Anna Maria Island! My extended family of eight found our stay at the Gulfshore Cottage was one of the best experience we had during our weekend vacation in December. The cottage was clean and had all the necessary amenities for all the adults and children in our group. It is a few steps from the beautiful quite beach, walking distance to the quaint shops and restaurants in downtown Anna Maria. The free trolley provided a great way to get around Anna Maria island. We will definitely be back soon.

Location, location, location – not on the beach- only 4 houses away- no major streets to cross. Makes the short walk easy to carry gear to the beach. Arms never get tired should you bring chair, coolers, umbrellas etc. Kitchen fully equipped to create great meals to share with friends. Easy to pull two tables together to have large family/friends meals together. Makes you want to linger over a great meal and relax much like the feel of Anna Maria Island – settle in and relax. Wanna get away from the hustle and bustle of your group tuck away on the front porch with a book or sneak away to chair in the bedroom. Or hunker down in the family room with the two sofas and watch some football or soccer and root on your favorite team. Fun to walk to local restaurants on the beach. Park your car and never drive it till you leave your stay. Have brunch, lunch, ice cream or dinner all within walking distance. Property manager has a book with lots of ideas to try. Loved the relaxing time I had at this quaint cottage and wished my stay was longer. I will be back with a large group of friends again!

We gathered for Labor Day Weekend and everyone, including the kids, liked the cottage. Plenty of room for the price. Everything was fine. Close to the road but no night-time traffic noise. Short walk to the beach. Close to the trolley. Able to get the whole crowd down to the pier for ice cream. Well stocked with things we needed, towels, beach toys, sheets, etc.

This cottage is an open and spacious layout with plenty of sleeping room for a large family or group of friends. The house is well-maintained and was impeccably clean and cool when we arrived. All appliances and electronics functioned perfectly. Showers and tubs all worked comfortably with plenty of water pressure – a plus after a day on the beach. The house is equipped with an outside shed that was equipped with beach chairs and a carrying cart. Back porch has a great grill that we used every night. The best feature of this cottage is its location. You’re a block away from one of the most beautiful beaches in the world and a couple blocks from downtown Anna Maria’s Pine Street. We are already planning to stay here next year!

We just stayed at this quaint house for a much deserved break and loved every minute of it. The house was perfect for entertaining a few friends and a great place to come back to after a day on the beach. The location is ideal as it’s just a block from the beautiful gulf beach and very close to restaurants and shops. The house itself is roomy and well equipped with plenty of kitchen essentials to really cook. The bedrooms are large and comfortable. Everything is well maintained and very clean, making for quite a relaxing weekend. We’ll be back for sure!

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION ! This rental was one of our best on AMI- The house is fully equipped with all the comforts of home- no need to bring anything except your luggage! The layout was spacious and airy – very comfortable bedrooms with plenty of room for adults and kids. We had all the beach necessities provided with lovely beach towels and umbrellas. The 2 minute walk to the beach was one of the best features leaving us plenty of time to enjoy the town. The large screened patio is a bonus for people watching. We will definitely be returning hopefully sooner than later – Thank you for a great vacation.

Exceeded Our Expectations! I would highly recommend the house – it is centrally located on Anna Maria island within walking distance to shopping and dining. The house is impeccably clean and well-maintained. It’s a very spacious home with all the amenities we needed. The air conditioning worked well, as did all of the other appliances. But best of all, this home is one block away from the best beach in the states! We will definitely stay here again!

Back again!!! (ZenM1965) I recently stayed at the Gulfshore Cottage again, but this time it was our friend’s 48th birthday! Coming back, it was even better than last time, as there was a new stove and new fridge, and we LOVE to cook! Like last time, all the amenities were there, the free wifi always works and has a really great connection. The house had plenty of room for all of us and we had a blast! I’m coming back again this month with extended family, and I’m super excited to come back once more – I’m already daydreaming about the beautiful beach!

There were a few issues during our stay. (There were two burners in the stove that only worked sometimes, they are supposed to be replacing the entire stove. There was condensation from the ceiling vent dripping down into the floor, but it was 100 degreees outside and I did have 6 kids running in and out. The shower door in the queen bedroom was loose, it had been repaired and I wasn’t notified that it needed 72 Hrs to set up, so we used it anyway. Oops. When trying to access the wifi internet said unable to join and when I called the phone company, I got a runaround before getting disconnected, I finally gave up on wifi and decided it wouldn’t hurt the kids not to have it for the week. BTW, they’re still alive, lol. :) With these minor issues mentioned, I contacted the rental agency and they had a repair man there the next day. I was ensured all issues would be addressed/replaced. There is an issue with the Jacuzzi tub though, that I didn’t report to the agency, it’s weird, as in, there’s not an on/off button and it just randomly comes on 15-20 min after water is filled in tub. Weird! There were far more perks than problems with this home, I only mentioned those first because that’s typically what people are looking for in reviews. There was plenty of beds for 8 people. There is a walk in closet n the master bathroom that you could put a crib in or a blow up mattress too. There’s a queen futon couch in the dining room for extra bedding and the extra room off the queen room has one as well. The two twin beds are off the living room. That room isn’t as cold as the rest of the house. There’s anything you need for the beach there, including towels, buggies, coolers and floats. We loved the screened-in porch and the fact we could walk to the beach in less than five minutes. The kitchen was supplied with most Items, although a decent spatula, a pizza cutter and a 4-slice toaster would have been good. There were some spices in cabinet and the basics were provided. We didn’t use the grill (too hot for that) but there is one of those provided as well. The rental agency and owner went above and beyond what they were required to do to ensure our stay was a pleasant one. The only real issue with cleanliness was in master bath, there was stuff all in shower door tracks that you can’t help but look at while sitting on the potty. Overall, older home, but very clean and pleasantly surprised. Would stay again, but not in June- simply too hot for me. The Ocean Star and Sand Bar restaurants were nice places to eat. The donut experiment was delicious, but a long wait.

The cottage came highly recommended from a close friend and it did not disappoint! For my 50th birthday, I stayed for 2 nights and 3 days with family and friends, and there was plenty of room for all of us. It included all the amenities that I usually look for when going on vacation: free WIFI, fully-equipped kitchen (plates, silverware, convection oven, microwave, blender, rice cooker, etc.) , bathrooms stocked with everything you need (shampoo, conditioner, soap, and towels), beach supplies (umbrella, chairs, boogie boards, floaties), a charcoal grill, and a gas grill. Also, the home was so close to the beach – it is literally only a 3 minute walk down a private path. The beach is also very clean and not crowded at all. One day, I even saw a manatee! I loved the cottage and Anna Maria Island so much that I already booked it again for August!

We stayed in this beautiful quaint cottage over the Memorial Day weekend, it was close to everything (walking distance) the beach was 1 minute away and believe it or not it was not crowded! This cottage is very clean and well stocked with everything you need. The showers were a welcome sight after a day at the beach and the water pressure was fantastic. There was plenty of seating and the kitchen was well stocked. Love this cottage, will definitely stay there again . . . 5 star rating from me!

This is a gem of a place. Location wise, it’s tough to beat – a short stroll to the beach, and maybe 5-10 minute walk to the Sandbar restaurant, where you can dine on the beach and watch the sunset. The cottage is surprisingly spacious inside, with 2 good-sized bedrooms, and an additional bedroom with 2 bunk beds for kids. It also has a front screened-in porch, which is a nice place to have your morning coffee and watch the island come to life.

We had a wonderful time at Gulfshore Cottage. It was well equipped with boogie boards, towels, beach chairs and the all important wonder wheeler to carry all our beach supplies. We enjoyed sitting on the screened in front porch and watching all the islanders walk by. This is a great location, close to everything.

On entering the cottage, the screened porch was a perfect cool place to relax in the evening with a drink or to take morning coffee and watch Anna Maria Island come to life. Inside was spacious and open plan with a very well equipped and stocked kitchen, and comfortable seating and dining areas, simply decorated in restful pastel tones with ‘beach themed’ soft furnishings. This carried through into the three spacious bedrooms, two of which were en-suite. One with shower and spa bath and the other a large walk in shower Hair dryers were supplied in both bathrooms. A generous supply of good quality towel sets with a separate set for beach use was appreciated The third bedroom had twin beds with further sleeping in two other areas of the cottage. The kitchen was well stocked with tableware and cooking utensils, also a coffee machine, blender, toaster and kettle and all those extras you really don’t want to buy for a short break. Also included was free Wi-Fi and flat screen televisions to most rooms. Ample parking in front of the garage and to the side for 3-4 cars with a barbecue to the rear and beach chairs provided stored in the garage. There was also a laundry room with washing machine and dryer. The location was perfect with a very short walk to the beach , a short car ride to shops including a huge Publix supermarket, or take the free trolley bus ideal for a trip to nearby Sarasota. The cottage was also only a short walk to plenty of places to eat and drink, notably The Sand Bar, a very reasonably priced popular beach front restaurant.

Comfortable island cottage close to gorgeous beach! Just got back from a wonderful stay at Gulfshore Cottage. Furnished with soft beach colors of sea greens, blues and cream, the property is clean, spacious, welcoming and located a short (less than five minutes) walk to the gorgeous white sand beach and glorious Gulf water. The bedrooms are large with very comfortable beds, extra bedding and plenty of storage. The two bathrooms are also large, each with powerful showers and one also has a huge spa bathtub. They are well-stocked with soft towels. There are plenty of thoughtful touches- coffee filters, condiments, tea bags, toiletries, beach towels, beach chairs, and coolers. The washer and dryer were a bonus. The cottage has a well-equipped kitchen: large oven, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, blender and everything you need to cook. Restaurants are a short walk or trolley ride and there is a Publix grocery store about 2 miles away. It took us 7 minutes to stroll along the beach for Sunday brunch on the beach at the Sandbar. We spent evenings out on the long porch at the front of the cottage and enjoyed morning coffee out there, watching the island come alive with joggers and cyclists in the mornings. We loved our time at Gulfshore Cottage and we cannot wait to stay here again.
