This was our first visit to AMI. My booking of Bean Point Cottage was solely based on the pictures online, as it did not have any reviews. Bean Point Cottage was the perfect beach cottage for our family of 6. Pictures do not do it justice. It is even more charming in person. The decor is beach chic perfection. The owners have done an amazing job. Although the home is small in sq. footage, the space is so well distributed that it feels bigger than what it is. The backyard is lovely with an amazing pool that has a beach entrance for small children and a built in bench and table for the adults on the opposite side. There is also an outdoor shower that was super convenient after coming home from the beach. We would use the side entrance and rinse in the outdoor shower before jumping in the pool or entering the house. Location – we loved the location as it is in the north end of the island which is quiet. If you have small children, I will warn you that the walk to the beach is a bit much in the summer heat (and we are from South Florida). We ended up renting a golf cart and driving to a beach nearby that had less of a walking stretch. The sand area at Bean Point is about a half a mile of thick sand. It makes hauling baby items and babies really difficult. We found a solution with the beaches just south west of bean point near the sandbar restaurant. The sand stretch there is half that of bean point. All in all, I highly recommend this beach cottage. It is cozy yet chic and very clean and well maintained. If you are uber picky (as I am) and want a cozy cottage that feels like home in AMI, this is the place for you. We are looking forward to returning next year and staying here again.

We really enjoyed our stay on Anna Maria Island and we loved this house. The weather was perfect and we even saw several Manatee! We will be back!
