Loved this condo. Great location. Great beach view, and access to the beach. Lovely comfortable decor, well kept, clean, and well managed. And lots of supplied amenities including beach chairs, bikes, beach towels, etc. Etc. And lot s of supplies like dishsoap, laundry soap, toilet paper, etc., etc. . . we really didn’t need to buy anything but food. And good wireless included. Nice quiet pool, and good easy parking available for the unit. The only issue we had was trying to get into the lockbox the night we arrived, I think it was jammed or something because once we got it open and, relocked it, reaccess was easy. I did call coastal cottages emergency number when I couldn’t get into the box, and they called me back quickly on a Sunday evening (although by that time I got the box open), and were very friendly and looking to help.. I have rented many condos across Florida and this was one of the best experiences we have had for service, the condition and comfort of the unit itself , and having so much available at our disposal to use during our stay. Would totally stay here again!

We have stayed at Gulf Sands in different units in the past. Unit 106 is the best by far. The decor is beautiful and the unit is very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay so much. Coastal Cottages AMI makes it easy! Their Iphone App is great! Check in and check out is a breeze!

Our stay could not have been more perfect. The place is beautiful (the Beatles decor added a nice touch). My husband, kids and I loved how it is located on Manatee Beach and walking distance to shops and restaurants. Others staying in surrounding rooms were very kind and friendly. Beautiful scenery where ever you look. Caught an amazing Christmas Day sunset that we will not soon forget. Thank you so very much for sharing this with us and plans for a longer stay next year are already in the works.

We loved this particular condo. The view!!!! We didn’t want to leave for dinner so we could just watch the sunset from our deck. I was nervous about staying somewhere that wasn’t recommended by friends. But this place was CLEAN. They had a little bucket of beach toys and 4 beach towels. The washer was broken which was a bummer, but they did try to fix it and offered a roll of quarters for the laundry mat. We did rent an umbrella and comfy chairs for the beach. The restaurant next door was GREAT for breakfast and lunch. We just walked over “beach ready” and ate a huge breakfast then set up on the beach. Sometimes we had the beach to ourselves! We are not used to that-usually we are on Myrtle Beach-so crowded. We ate at several restaurants, all were great. There isn’t a chain in sight! Rare! The location of the condo is wonderful. We had food delivered one rainy day. The condo was so nice and up-to-date with wonderful decor. Not cheesy beach stuff. I was so comfortable there. There was plenty of room for 4 of us. The updates and the cleanliness and the VIEW are definite reasons to stay here. Oh, I forgot to mention the tiny walk to the beach. Like, you could throw a stone to the sand! Parking=perfect. The pool was hot. We didn’t use it much. But it was SUPER clean. A great stay!

Our family (2 adults and two boys (14 and 11) had a wonderful week staying on Anna Maria at the Beaches and Dreams condo in April 2014. Very nice unit with excellent views of the Gulf. The condo is very clean and updated and also has bikes and beach chairs and toys for use! Great layout for family. Very convenient location to everything and nice, well-kept pool (that is warm even if cooler/windy on the beach). Can walk or bike to restaurants, coffee shops, bars and souvenir shops. Other things we recommend are Capt. Kathe’s boat tour (wade or snorkel to view sea creatures in a warm, shallow, sandbar area), Annie’s Bait and Tackle in Cortez (for great seafood – very casual), and the Star Fish Co. in Cortez, Mr. Bones for ribs or shrimp and grits, Tortilla Bay for fish tacos, the Island Fish Market for steamed shrimp (seafood market that will steam the shrimp for you for free and also has yummy rock shrimp). The beach cafe next door was pretty good for a margarita and take-out dinner of fried shrimp. We definitely recommend Beaches and Dreams and Anna Maria Island! Will want to return!

We have been coming to Anna Maria for over 30 years. We know the island very well and have stayed in numerous places. This is probably the sixth condo in Gulf Sands that we have rented. By far the nicest of all! You have made it comfortable, beautiful and efficient in every way. Thank you for an enjoyable week. We had a great time on our Waverunner, biking to the pier and several trips to “Two Scoops”. Our visitors all had comments (positive of course) about your condo. You will have people renting because of it. Thank you again and we look forward to returning next year.

Once again we have enjoyed staying in your beautiful condo. We had a great time on the beach and saw two manatees and watched dolphins swimming by. We took part in one of the Turtle Tours given by the Anna Maria Island Turtle Watch Volunteers. We highly recommend it, getting up early is worth it! We saw two turtle nests and the eggs and learned many fascinating facts about the Loggerhead Turtles. The weather was perfect! We enjoyed the beautiful sunsets and walking on the beach! We hope to come again soon! (see our previous review in June 2011)

We are here celebrating our 25th anniversary and we absolutely do not want to leave! The condo is decorated so nice and the view on the balcony is beautiful and so relaxing. Thank you for a great vacation and hope to make it back real soon!

First let me say I enjoyed your “nest” and Anna Maria Island. Beautiful weather, loved being at the beach and pool. I hate to break it but the lock to your stuff downstairs wasn’t the best and broke the key to get in. we are sorry for that. My mom saw 2 manatees and dolphins while walking the beach. My old school is about a block and a half from your place. My grandma and I looked at a few other condos with my mom. Beautiful places here! My father past and it’s my first time back here in Florida and I’m glad to have stayed here. So “memory trip” is what I call it. Hope to come again soon.

Thank you so much for the use of your home. The children (ages 6 and 4.5) loved every minute of the daily beach and pool. The beds and couches were so comfortable and the view was a balm at any hour of the day or night. Having the lifeguard station so close was an unexpected bonus, as Vivienne wandered off and could not find her way back without help. The folks at the station know their craft. Weather was perfect—not humid, sunny with a breeze. We had a night-time storm to kick up the surf for a change of pace mid-week. The full moon over the water was a delight, as well as the nightly sunsets. The apartment had been beautifully renovated. Thank you for sharing your beaches and dreams with us. We hope the luggage won’t be too heavy with the amount of ocean treasures we have packed to take home,

We had a wonderful month in your beautiful condo with all the lovely amenities. During our time here we enjoyed: record warm temperatures and continuous spectacular sunny days. Seeing the full moon shining on the ocean, a shooting star, the beauty of Venus and Jupiter. The South Florida Museum and Snooty, the oldest manatee. Glorious sunsets. Walking the ever-changing beach. Swimming in the pool and ocean. Seeing dolphins. Exploring the village of Cortez and listening to music on the porch. Riding bikes and discovering parts of the Island we wouldn’t see otherwise. The Mixon Orange Blossom Festival and their delicious citrus. Shopping the bargains at the Beall’s Outlets. Talking to an elderly farmer at the Strawberry Festival and learning about growing strawberries. All the arts and craft shows. Reading the Islander and Sun newspapers. The food, music, and fun of the AMI Beach Café. Programs at the library. Seafood, especially at Eat Here and AM Oyster Bar. Meeting nice people and finding it truly is a small world. Aaah—sad to leave and already counting down till next year.

The condo was marvelous—beautifully decorated with lots of nice touches. Great views of the beach and ocean and conveniently located on the island. We’re from Michigan and really enjoyed the warm weather and walks on the beach. Collecting shells became a new short-term hobby. We will be thinking of the great time we had here as we return to the snow and cold. Thanks again for opening your vacation home and the hospitality.

We are from Wisconsin. We live in a tree house over Lake Michigan in a town named Port Washington, 24 miles north of Milwaukee. We love the water—waves changing colors in the heavens and all across from shore to the unseen lands beyond—This year we ventured south—the Holy Angels (Christie and Ellie) led us to the Southern Counterpart-what a great location—trolley rides, all the pancakes you can eat next door, friendly neighbors—the same amazing sunsets we enjoy up north—we are about to fly away—our hearts, souls, and images warmed by these four weeks swimming in the pool, hiking on the sickly soft sand, and opening our awareness that life is a blessing.

Thank you so much for making our stay here on the island so comfortable and relaxing. Your place here is beautifully decorated and everything we could have possibly needed was provided here. (silverware, cooking pans, games, etc..) it made us feel so at home, and it was such a comfort to come “home” to your place here every night. After long days on the beach and around the island. We loved having morning coffees on the balcony, and then watching the sun set from here in the evenings. We are all so sad to leave your little “nest” tomorrow morning—but we know we will try to stay here again very soon!

The décor is beautiful and practical. You brought first the right atmosphere for this type of living. We had a great time and we didn’t want to leave. The beach was a welcome blessing for us from the stress of home. Thank you for letting us share your nest.

What a great location on Anna Maria Island! We loved your place and how it was set up. One of your pictures over your couch (the picture of the welded palm tree) was built by a friend of mine. It was neat to see you have his art on your wall! Looking forward to visiting again.

We loved your beautiful condo. My husband and I brought our three kids to visit their namesake island. I spend months planning our big Florida Trip—four nights at Disney and four nights in AMI (to recover from Disney). I must have spent 10+ hours looking for just the right place to stay here—and finally found Beaches and Dreams. It seemed like the perfect place for us—and it really was! We loved the beautiful view and easy access to the beach. We had so much fun playing in the Gulf (we left our boogie board in the storage closet with other beach toys). Kids had fun on the playground. We experienced a wild storm with 70+ mph and hail! Our favorite restaurants were the Beach Café, Solos Pizza, and Tortilla Bay to name a few.

A treasure you have in your Gulf Sands condo. We were so pleased with the décor and the view there are not words to describe it. We look forward to being back next year. We did some of the “required” visits for AMI, but the best was right here with gulf and pool. Our son flew in for a few nights to relax with us before his orders to Iraq. Know that great memories were made in your “nest”.

What a joy to stay in your beautiful place. Every detail reflects your sense of style and wish that your guest be at ease. Anna Maria Island is a very special place and we wanted to spend more time exploring—next time, next year! Loved lunch (fish tacos) at The Waterfront. Saw dolphins, three of them, at the City Pier. Rays glided along besides us as we walked along the beach. The sunsets were amazing, never get tired of watching.
