The house is cute and was the perfect size for my husband, daughter and I. It was clean and well maintained. Like a lot of rentals, the furniture in the living room has seen better days, especially the couch, and could stand to be replaced. My daughter loved having her own space and the sink and toilet in her room was an added bonus I wasn’t aware of prior to our stay. The pool is not a “swimming” pool, but I think I kind of figured it would be on the small side so it wasn’t a total disappointment. We did get it in every time we came home from the beach to cool off from the walk. The walk to the beach isn’t bad unless you plan on taking a lot of stuff. We rented a cart and umbrella for the week and it helped a lot. We generally prefer to stay right on the beach and probably will the next time we come, but we did enjoy the neighborhood and being able to walk to Pine Avenue to the restaurants and shops. We have been to AMI several times and this year discovered The Donut Experiment which is an absolute must for anyone visiting the island. Per usual we made the trip to Rod and Reel, twice, and it was easily within walking distance from the house. Overall it was another great vacation on Anna Marie Island. Although I don’t know that we would rent this particular house again, simply because we prefer to be on the beach, we would definitely rent from Coastal Cottages and will probably use them to find our house on the beach.

The weather was sunny and we saw Manatees, dolphins and sand dollars. We also saw parrots and lizards and the sunsets were great.

My husband and I spent a very pleasant two weeks at this cottage in April. It is bright, clean, and comfortable (if you like a hard bed) and quite well equipped. The only things that we missed were a sun umbrella (which was eventually provided by the rental company) and sun loungers. As there is a small pool we had assumed that they would be provided. Unlike Europe you do not really receive a comprehensive inventory prior to the holiday so it is hard to know what to expect. We were, however, very surprised by the second ‘bedroom’ (luckily we only had to use it for guests for a weekend) which is more like a large closet! It comprises of bunk beds (double on the bottom and single on top) with a wash hand basin and toilet actually in the same room and a few hooks on the wall for hanging clothing! There is a window in the roof to supply light but it has no blind so I can imagine children waking at dawn. We blacked it out with a piece of card! There is also very little distance between the top bunk and the ceiling. If you woke suddenly in the night you could very easily hurt your head. Despite numerous electric sockets in the room it is necessary to switch the lights off outside the door. I am not sure this is really made clear on the website. The area is quiet and there is direct access to the beach very close by. Unfortunately the free trolley service does not go as far north as this location so it involves a walk to reach it. The cottage and its outdoor area are both well maintained.

Your place is simply amazing! Looking forward to returning to the same place next year. We have been
Visiting Anna Maria for 8 years and your place is by far the best we have ever rented.
